This story is close to our hearts, and probably yours too. You may have read about poor Donal and Kim in the press recently. According to the story, Kim an elderly Jack Russell who belongs to 84 year old Donal, nipped a lady who was walking past their home in a quiet rural area in Roscommon. The lady who was nipped by Kim insisted on taking the case as far as she could and the courts have granted that Kim will be put to sleep.
We would never say a dog showing any kind of aggression is ok, however this dog had never done anything like this before, she is old and was taken by surprise. She is obviously Donal's world. He offered to compensate the lady financially and put
measures in place to prevent this from ever happening again but these were declined. It is a hard hitting reminder to keep your dogs under control for their own safety, and everyone else's!
